WILL SMITH SLAPS CHRIS ROCK ON STAGE AT OSCARS

Best Actor nominee Will Smith has slapped Chris Rock on the Oscars stage, live on the television across the world. Chris Rock made a joke about Jada Pinkett Smith, who has revealed her alopecia diagnosis, resembling before. Rock appeared shocked after the act of Smith but he tried to resume presenting the best documentary feature category. Few minutes later in the night , Smith was announced as the best actor.

MOTSEPE FOUNDATION DONATES R30M TO KZN FLOODS RELIEF EFFORTS

The Motsepe Foundation has donated R30 million to flood relief efforts in KwaZulu-Natal (KZN) after the province was battered by heavy rains earlier this week. The damage caused by the floods is estimated to be over R750 million, and at least 395 people have died. CAF President, businessman and Motsepe Foundation Founder, Patrice Motsepe was in Tshelimnyama on Saturday to assess the damage and also visited flood victims in parts of KZN. Speaking during a visit to flood-ravaged areas in KwaZulu Natal on Saturday, CAF President and businessman Dr Patrice Motsepe announced that his family foundation would be donating R30 million to KZN flood relief efforts. Dr Patrice Motsepe was part of a group of leaders, including the likes of KZN Premier Sihle Zikalala,and Zulu King Misuzulu kaZwelithi.

NEW LINE UP FOR UKHOZI FM STARTED TODAY

The SABC’s biggest radio station, Ukhozi FM – which celebrated bagging 8 million listeners in October 2021 – made some changes to some of its biggest shows, and today 01 Apr.2022 is the big day for UKhozi FM and its listeners’ because all the changes started today. In a media statement released mid-March the national broadcaster announced that the station will switch up its daytime and weekend line-up. On this will see presenters such as Khathide ‘Tshatha’ Ngobe and Durban Gen actress Zimiphi ‘Zimdollar’ Biyela in new timeslots. Award-winning presenter and MC, Tshatha Ngobe, is making a return to the drive time show from 15:00 – 18:00. Following some damning claims he made in 2020 about the station’s infamous ‘song of the year’, the presenter was moved to the graveyard and weekend slots as “punishment” in 2021.
